MicroMerchantRL

MicroMerchantRL is a combatless roguelike that involves trading goods to save up enough money to buy a proper merchant license.  Choose a guild, trade goods, and recruit followers.

The color palette and use of negative space take heavy inspiration from a combination of Caves of Qud and the Solarized color palette.

Controls:

  • WASD or arrow keys to move
  • i to open inventory
  • Click on a character to initiate a trade with them
  • Space to enter a tile's location when on the starting world map
  • Exit a location to return to the world map by moving to the edge of the location

Anymore plans for updates? Also I tried to play it and I couldn't start a game. I was stuck at the traits/name/guild screen. Also the traits ran off the screen for me.

I'm planning on slowly working on this over time. I've just gotten distracted by other projects.

Were you not able to hit the start button? And I'll have to look at how the UI interacts and scales with the resolution to make sure it all works correctly. Thanks for letting me know!
